Overview
This summer, Pretty Lake Vacation Camp will provide a unique camping experience to over 500 boys and girls who have finished 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade. During their time at Pretty Lake, campers are given the opportunity to appreciate the natural world around them, while expanding their strengths and skills to reach their fullest potential.

Backpacking

Activities that each camper will have the opportunity to experience: swimming, boating, arts & crafts, nature & camping, archery, campfires and more.

By living and interacting with our fun-loving summer camp staff, children learn valuable, positive social skills that can be taken with them for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a camper need to bring to camp?
Nothing! Pretty Lake is committed to providing everything that a camper will need during their stay. This includes clothes, hygiene products, bedding, bug spray, sunscreen, etc. It is not required, but if a camper wishes, they may bring 8 days worth of socks and underwear. They may also bring a swimming suit. For girls, the swimming suit must be a one-piece or a two-piece that completely covers the midriff.

How much does camp cost?
Pretty Lake is special, in that it is a cost-free camp for the kids, their family or care-givers. It costs nothing to be a camper at Pretty Lake Vacation Camp!

How does a camper get to camp?
As another way to eliminate all barriers of attending camp, campers are picked up in downtown Kalamazoo. Kalamazoo Public School buses provide transportation to and from camp.
