 Leaders in Training
Overview This unique program is designed to continue the camp experience for 8th and 9th graders. The Leaders in Training (LIT) program is a two-year, year-round program. It focuses heavily on leadership training and community service. LITs attend a spring and fall retreat, but the highlight of their year is their session at camp. There, they take part in camp service and community service projects, as well as an off-site camping trip. The LIT program encourages campers to develop improved leadership skills, confidence, maturity, and an enhanced sense of themselves and their role in their community.
To gain entrance to the program, former Adventure Camp/Outpost campers are mailed an application and questionnaire in the spring. Those who are interested are then interviewed by the Pretty Lake Vacation Camp summer leadership staff.
