If you are a member of the Pretty Lake Vacation Camp staff, you need to:

If you are able to honestly say that you agree with these statements, or share these beliefs, then we whole-heartedly encourage you to continue with our summer employment process.

As a summer staff member, part of your job is to watch our campers. We need to make sure they are safe, having fun, and following the camp code of conduct which is to do no harm. In addition, our summer staff have the responsibility of being able to be watched by the campers. Campers will watch you to see the following:

  • How do you deal with daily joys and frustrations?
  • How do you develop relationships and relate to others?
  • Do you show respect for others?
  • How do you deal with conflict and set limits?
  • Do you genuinely care about the children, respect them, and treat them kindly?
  • Are you patient with others and demonstrate compassion?

Working at Pretty Lake Vacation Camp is demanding. You will face challenges every day. Days are long and personal space and time are limited. You give your energy and focus on ensuring that each camper is given the highest quality camp experience possible. Despite this, working at Pretty Lake could be the most satisfying and rewarding summer experience you will ever have.
