When is summer camp?

Summer camp at Pretty Lake will go from June 10th through July 26th. There will be 7 different 5-day sessions, each going from Monday through Friday. A full schedule will be shared soon.

My child did not get accepted for the summer, what should I do?

Unfortunately, our spaces tend to fill up quickly. You’ll be added to the waitlist and we’ll be sure to call if a space opens up. If you’re having continuous issues getting accepted, please reach out to our Camp Director, using the form below.

What is the pickup and drop off process like?

Camper Registration will take place at a local KPS school on Monday mornings. Camp Pickup will take place at the same building on Friday afternoons. Details to come.

What does my child need to bring?

At Pretty Lake, we work to eliminate any barriers that may prevent campers from enjoying the full camp experience. For this reason, we provide everything a camper may need during their time here including but not limited to: clothing, bathing suits, toothbrushes, underwear, etc. We recommend that if you are able to, send your camper with labeled closed toe shoes, socks, and underwear. We also encourage campers to bring a comfort stuffed animal if needed!

Who will be caring for my child?

Each summer we bring in a variety of camp staff from all over the world. All of staff are required to complete multiple weeks of childcare and camp programming training. You child will stay in a cabin with 2-4 counselors, and will interact with a variety of Program and Leadership Staff. Additionally, we’ll have certified Lifeguards, Health Managers, and Camper Wellness Managers.

What will my child do at camp?

Every day and every session of camp is a little different! You can read an example schedule of a week at camp here. Generally speaking, your child will spend lots of time swimming, crafting, learning, and being in nature.

Are you hiring summer camp employees?

Yes we are! Click here to learn more.

Can I contact my child while they’re at camp?

Yes, occasionally. We encourage caregivers to write postcards to their campers at registration, that we distribute throughout the week. You are also welcome to send mail while your camper is here. You’re also welcome to call to check in on your camper. However, we do make an effort to reduce campers calling home to encourage independence and reduce homesickness.

How can I access photos of my child at camp?

We will have a shared album that all families can access. We will share this process as camp gets a little closer.

What kind of health services are provided at camp?

We have trained medical staff on duty at all times, to help with distributing medication as well as caring for campers that are experiencing minor health symptoms.

My child has a specific health concern, what should I do?

Contact us! We’ll work together to make sure your camper is taken care of.

What COVID-19 protocols are in place?

You can read Pretty Lake’s COVID-19 protocols here.

What happens if my child struggles with behavioral issues or homesickness?

If your child has behavioral issues here at camp, our staff will work with them to address the issue. If the situation escalates, we’ll call home and check-in. If the situation continues to escalate, we will ask you to come pick up your camper or we’ll make plans to bring them home.

Do you have a camp store?

No, we do not. However, we provide everything your child will need while they’re here, and each camper is provided with a variety of Pretty Lake merch to take home.
